We walked up the road a short distance to the trailhead.

Hike:
RT 2.0; 1.0 up. On our way to Carcross, Milan found a short objective
on Alltrails to get our legs moving after being in the car all day. It
was a beautiful sunny day, and we were thrilled to explore the small
mountain even though it was getting late in the afternoon. The hike to
the summit is short, but offers a decent workout; the trail climbs
steadily on steep terrain parallel to an electrical cable running to
the radar tower. From there, two highpoints with cairns are a short
distance away. We visited the first peak, then hiked to the second one,
which appeared slightly higher. We took pictures before retreating from
the wind to a hollow in the alpine meadows. We had snacks while
enjoying the last sunrays. Our return was quick; we had just enough
daylight to make it back to the car. It is worth saying that all the
beta on this objective fail to mention that the official summit is over
5 kilometers, as the crow flies, to the north-east. Google Earth
research suggests the plod to the true summit would be pleasant,
travelling vast alpine meadows; a minor downside is height loss to a
saddle between the summits.
