Hike/Scramble: We
do this hike early season almost every year, it is a short
drive from our house. Table and its sun-exposed trail get a
head
start on snow melt. The trail is very nice with a sustained grade and a
respectable
height gain. It leads to a gully that is ascended to the
summit ridge. A big cairn dots the flat south-east summit. The
true summit is at the northern end of this vast stretch of
terrain.
Sometimes we bring camping gear and make this an overnight trip with
the pooches. It is a great place to be when the sun comes down, lots of
room for
the dogs. |
