Winston on snow.
Hike: Very nice loop on a warm day. We parked at the bottom and hiked up the dry south-west side. It is a popular area, there are several trails. With few detours, we arrived at the top where there are facilities: an outhouse, some picnic tables and a launching platform. We returned via the back (east) side, where we encountered lots of snow. The steep descent on compacted, slick snow was treacherous and funny at the same time. We passed the road and upper trailhead to continue our descent on the eastern ridge; (yes, it is possible to drive within a very short distance from the top). Soon we regained dry ground and resumed this excellent dog walk.
