Nice lycra! |
Scramble:
Just like Cascade, it started with a bunch of people along on a bike
ride. Near the watercourse on Rundle trail we decided to ditch the
bikes and continue on foot. We unfortunately followed the
drainage and could not surmount the rock slabs to the ascent slopes.
Dan, Mitch and I decided to redeem ourselves and try it again, this
time we had directions: I'd just bought Alan Kane's scrambling book. We
rode up to the drainage and stashed our bikes. We hiked
across the drainage and found the trail ascending to the west slopes
above. It was a nice plod to the summit. I recall thinking it was so
great to be up here and see endless chains of mountains. Wow, my
second scramble, I like it! |
